ScalerAide has been donating Purefect Pets to our shelter in the high desert for over eight (8) years.

We have administered this silver to dogs, cats, rats, guinea pigs and fowl.

At first, we primarily used the silver for wound care, abscesses and bites alike. It was administered both topically and internally. I recall a particularly nasty, life-threatening abscess that we believe was caused by a venomous spider bite, using the silver as a "flush" into the wound itself several times per day until the dog could be seen by a veterinarian.

We have used the silver for skin irritations to soothe and protect, both dogs and cats, as well as cleaning ears and one (1) drop to the eye when treating conjunctivitis symptoms (URI) in both dogs and cats.

One particularly efficacious use concerns terrified (traumatized) cats who refuse to eat. A few sprays of the silver has encouraged these cats to eat food they would not touch, previously, within seconds of application on the food. Then, there is the added protection to boost the immune system in a very stressful environment. Some have suggested putting silver into the water bowls, but I do not like diluting the silver.

I have treated many dogs exhibiting "happy tail" syndrome, which can be quite serious, keeping the tail clean and hastening the healing process.

In the hotter months, sand can reach temperatures of 159 degrees Fahrenheit, the highest I have seen, measured by a laser thermometer. Lost/stray dogs have come to us with burnt, raw pads. Silver can be used to treat and soothe. As chemicals must be used to adequately clean kennels, silver can be used to treat any affected, sensitive areas on the dogs should there be contact. ScalerAide silver is unique in its versatility, as it can be used both internally and topically. The safety factor is huge to me and staff.
